CORK FLOORING ISN’T JUST BENEFICIAL BECAUSE OF IT’S ACOUSTIC INSULATION PROPERTIES, OR THE ABSORPTION IMPACT IT OFFERS YOUR JOINTS.
IT’S GREAT FOR THE ENVIRONMENT TOO.

It is the only tree in which the bark can be stripped and the tree will not just continue to live, but begins to absorb three times the amount of carbon it did prior to being peeled.
Additionally, there is little waste associated with cork flooring as the cork can usually be utilized for many different purposes.
HOW IS CORK FLOORING MADE?
1) An incision is made into the bark of the tree where the cork can be peeled off.
2)This layer is then stripped from the tree, and the cork is exposed.
3) The cork is then cut into and extracted while leaving the tree intact
4) The tree is marked with the year it was stripped for the forestry to be sustainably managed
5) The cork is then relocated to the factory for further processing.
