Sports floors need to be shock absorbant, resist traction, study, resilient and safe to guarantee optimal performance and withstand heavy-duty use.  Rubber flooring meet all these requirements.

Weight Lifting 

  • Requires a stable, uniform platform 
    Rubber flooring is dense and sturdy which allows it to hold excessive weight without bending. 
  • Requires a flooring which would provide bounce back and cushioning for dropped weight. 
    Rubber flooring is shock absorbant which allows it to meet both these requirements. 

Running 

  • Jogging tracks need to withstand heavy foot traffic and shoes with running spikes. 
    Rubber flooring can withstand both. 

Aerobics

  • Aerobics involves movements which create a hard impact upon landing. 
    The shock absorbtion provided by rubber flooring makes this perfect for aerobic centers.

Please Note:

While rubber floors are suitable for a variety of activities, it is not suitable for activities which require surfaces where feet can turn without grip such as dancing and martial arts.

This is due to the friction rubber flooring provides.
